The Fresh Express Classic is to be held April 12-18, 2010, at the stunning TPC
Stonebrae. The Tournament has a goal to generate more than $500,000 for Bay Area
charities and non-profit organizations. Through the innovative TICKETS
Fore CHARITY program, 100 percent of daily and weekly tournament proceeds will be
distributed to participating organizations.
Founded in 1990 and owned and operated by the PGA TOUR, the Nationwide Tour identifies
golf professionals who are ready to compete and win on golf’s biggest stage.
As the official proving ground of the PGA TOUR, two out of three PGA TOUR members
are Nationwide Tour alumni. Each season the Top 25 players of the Nationwide Tour
earn their playing cards for the next PGA TOUR season.
Last year’s champion, Michael Sim, earned his 2010 PGA TOUR credentials early, with
an automatic promotion after his third victory of the 2009 season. His 6-shot victory
at TPC Stonebrae was the springboard to a successful campaign that resulted in a
Top-60 World Ranking and appearances in two Majors -- the U.S. Open and PGA Championship.
